We most often meet with directees on an as-desired basis. You may choose to have just one conversation, several in a row for a particular season in your life, or even a concentrated time of deeper spiritual exploration (see At-Home Retreats), in which you might talk and/or pray with the spiritual director multiple times in a given week.

Some opt for ongoing spiritual direction (aka soul care, soul friendship, spiritual companionship), where you would meet with the spiritual director on a regular basis, usually monthly, for any combination of conversation, shared silence, and prayer. You are welcome to make regular monthly appointments if you wish, but you are under no obligation or commitment to do so.

Soul care conversations can take place anywhere you feel most comfortable, including the Deeper Hope Institute, the spiritual director’s home, a coffee shop, a walk on a nice day, or another warm and welcoming space such as a room in a church. We generally don’t meet with people in their own homes.

We meet with people for soul care as the Lord leads us. If you find the ministry valuable, we ask that you prayerfully consider what the Lord might call you to donate to the Deeper Hope Institute so that we might continue to be able offer this sacred time to women. Our most common donations for soul care range between $25 and $60 per appointment, with the exception of full-time students and the unemployed, which tend more in the range of $10 to $20. We ask only that you be faithful to God in this matter. The spiritual director herself is unaware of how much you are donating to the Deeper Hope Institute, and provides every directee with the same high standard of attentiveness, prayerfulness, and care.

Our three current directors are all members of both Spiritual Director’s International and the Evangelical Spiritual Director’s Network. ESDN members subscribe to a statement of faith wherein we each honor the supremacy of Jesus Christ as Lord and the Bible as authoritative for our faith and practice.

If you are in the northeastern Massachusetts area, she can set up a time to meet with you in person. Otherwise she would be happy to set up a phone/Skype appointment to chat and pray with you.
